If you’re anything like me, you go on a cruise and take hundreds, if not thousands, of photographs that you struggle to find the time to ever look back on. I have a couple of photos from one or two of my cruises framed in the house, but if I remembered every cruise this way then I’d have no vacant wall space anywhere (on the inside or the outside of the house…!).

I was delighted to come across The Cruise Maps recently - they’re a company that use AIS ship tracking data to produce beautiful maps which show the exact route that your cruise ship took during your cruise.

What’s interesting about this is that it’s the actual route that the ship took, rather than the route it had planned to take.

Why is this relevant? Well, say for example, your ship encounters a change of itinerary, or maybe a medical emergency alters its’ course. If the map showed the projected/planned route, then it wouldn’t actually show your cruise. Clever, isn’t it?

Historically, I’ve always viewed owning a map of your cruise as SUCH a luxury. Some cruise lines would offer you the chance to bid on the chart map of the ship, signed by the Captain for your cruise. You would usually expect to bid hundreds of dollars/pounds for the privilege of owning this map, but The Cruise Maps are now fully equipped to bring these into your home at a much more affordable rate!

So, what products can you purchase from The Cruise Maps?

  • Custom Cruise Maps - these will hang on your wall, and be a perfect memory of your cruise!

  • The Cruise Album - this album will beautifully present up to 25 of your cruises in a bespoke ‘The Cruise Maps’ branded album

  • Digital Custom Cruise Maps - if you’re running out of wall space, why not order the digital map of your exact cruise?

  • Mugs and Water Bottles

Let me show you the maps that I found while cruising onboard Cunard’s Queen Anne. Beautiful, aren’t they?

Ok, so I’ve told you about The Cruise Maps, but let me show you the map that I’ve chosen to have printed and framed for my house. I took a cruise onboard Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady back in July, and I loved everything about that cruise.

As soon as I heard about The Cruise Maps, I knew that was the one that I wanted to see on the wall. Here’s the end result - I smile every single time I see it!

So, hopefully you’ve enjoyed reading a little more about The Cruise Maps. If you’re looking to make a purchase, please do remember that you can secure 10% off of your oder by using the discount code ‘FRASERATSEA’.

Shipping’s free globally, so what are you waiting for? Let’s get your favourite cruise(s) on your wall, so you can look at them with the same sort of grin that I have when I look at my Resilient Lady print!
