Cunard Line
Cunard are a British-based cruise line with a truly global appeal, and operate some of the most famous vessels on the planet. What makes this cruise line unique is that they don’t just operate cruise ships - they also have a world-famous ocean liner within their fleet (the only remaining ocean liner in passenger service today!). The fleet consists of four ships or, as Cunard refer to them, ‘Queens’: Queen Mary 2 (launched 2004), Queen Victoria (launched 2007), Queen Elizabeth (Launched 2010) and finally Queen Anne (launched 2024). Over the years, Cunard have carried both the general public and their fair share of famous faces onboard their ships, including Elizabeth Taylor, Charlie Chaplain and Cary Grant! One thing’s clear from the second you see a Cunard ship - these ones are special, and it’s for this reason that I can’t wait to tell you more about this cruise line in my posts!
I’ve been fortunate enough to have travelled onboard multiple of Cunard’s ships, and so am hopefully going to use this part of the site to help you better plan your next holiday, or just pass on what I’ve learned over my cruises. If you’d like to see more of my time onboard, you’ll find lots of content over on my YouTube channel. To go there now, just click here - this link will take you directly to all of my Cunard content, featuring stateroom tours, dining guides, ‘top tips’ for cruising with the line, ship tours and so much more! I’ve taken some incredible cruises with Cunard during my cruising career, including a full transit of the Panama Canal, from Los Angeles (California) to Fort Lauderdale (Florida) onboard Queen Elizabeth, and also the world-famous Transatlantic cruise from New York City (USA) to Southampton (England), so they’re a really special company to me.
Before my first Cunard cruise, I was nervous. As someone who had only ever really cruised with the large mainstream cruise lines on their bigger ships, I’d heard the usual rumours about Cunard, and had a number of concerns: I’d be too old, I wouldn’t enjoy the more ‘formal’ nature of the experience, I wouldn’t find like-minded people who also like the mega ships of today, and I generally wouldn’t fit in. However, I’m delighted to report that this simply wasn’t the case. Allow me to take you on a journey through this website, to help you understand what my experience onboard was really like!
